Disaster EXERCISE emx15: February 25 & 26

PUBLIC NOTICE: Slave Lake Regional disaster EXERCISE emx15 will start this Wednesday and go until Thursday night.

Area will see increased emergency vehicle response and hear and see info on local media. Stay tuned to Town and MD websites and FM radio. Emergency Centre may contact businesses as part of the exercise. Please be patient with us as we learn. Thank you, Fire Chief Jamie Coutts.

Town of Slave Lake to Participate in AEMA Emergency Management Exercise

Starting Wednesday February 25, the Town of Slave Lake will be participating in the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) Emergency Management Exercise.
The intent of this exercise is to provide the town with an opportunity to test our Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and the town’s emergency plan.

During the two day exercise, the town will be updating our social media outlets and our website with content from the training. All releases coming out of the training will start with the following title: "EMX15 TRAINING EXERCISE---"

Notifications will be published on the town’s Facebook page (Town of Slave Lake), twitter feed (@TownSlaveLake), and website www.slavelake.ca

The exercise will run from Wednesday Feb. 25 to Thursday, February 26.

Save Money, Conserve Water & Support the LSWC

In partnership with RainBarrel.ca, we’ll be holding a Rain Barrel SALE ($65.00 each) to promote water reuse and conservation while, at the same time, raising funds for the LSWC’s educational programs! Pick-up will be in High Prairie on Saturday, June 6th and/or in Slave Lake on Sunday, June 7th.
