Lesser Slave Regional Visitor Information Centre

Beginning September long-weekend, the Visitor Information Centre will return to its regular operating hours: Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm, and from 1pm to 4:30pm. Planning your next trip? Be sure to stop by and checkout all the provincial brochures and materials we have to offer!

Update on the Slave Lake Legacy Centre

With an anticipated completion date of April 8, 2016, construction on the new Legacy Centre is proceeding very well. Progress thus far includes: installation of roof to protect interior from rain; floor poured in theatre and lobby section with daycare section soon to be done; most exterior concrete work completed; work begun on parking and roadway in preparation for paving; exterior of building being prepared for siding, and windows have been installed.

Every October, Council holds an Organizational Meeting and appoints Councillors and Members-at-Large to represent the Municipal District on various organizations within our region.

 

Lesser Slave Lake Health Advisory Council

The role of the Health Advisory Council is to provide feedback to Alberta Health Services on what is working well in the healthcare system and what areas are in need of improvement. As an important local stakeholder, you are invited to join any of our meetings.

Special Ceremony in Recognition of Queen Elizabeth

In celebration of Queen Elizabeth, join us on Wednesday September 9th at the Government Centre from noon until 1:00pm for beverages and a BBQ. As the longest serving Monarch in modern history, the Town will be hosting a small ceremony to mark Queen Elizabeth and to say a special thank you for her encouragement and support.
