All Halls Seeking Volunteer Firefighters

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is actively seeking volunteer firefighters for all halls. 

Stolen Quads Located

On July 26, 2014 Slave Lake RCMP located and recovered three stolen quads that were hidden in the bush in the southeast quadrant of town.

Complimentary Waterfront Home Site Consultations

The national Living By Water (LBW) initiative will be conducting free, confidential homesite consultations between August 29 and 31, designed to help waterfront residents employ environmentally-friendly practices on their property to help maintain shoreline and water health.

Through its free and confidential Homesite Consultations, LBW informs residents about the ecology of their lake, the environmental con-cerns associated with their lake, and gives rec-ommendations for how the resident can reduce their impact on the lake. To date, Nature Al-berta has completed 656 consultations at 27 lakes throughout Alberta.
