The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River’s Mapping & Geographic section is responsible for maintaining the municipality’s Geographic Information System (GIS), the computerized mapping system.  This team produces and distributes maps and mapped data sets, assigns addresses, and approves all street names.

The Mapping & Geographic section maintains a public information counter at the Main Administration Building where residents can request current land information maintained by the municipality. Maps and data about property, floodplains, soils, topography, zoning, streets, addresses, and other topics are available through this public service.
