The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River's Public Works department develops and maintains reliable infrastructure that enhances safety, public health, and environmental quality of life for the benefit of our residents. A highly motivated and knowledgeable team, this department strives to provide high-quality, cost effective services in three primary areas: Transportation, Utilities, and Building Maintenance.

To that end, Public Works provides core services and infrastructure such as:

• Provision, treatment, and distribution of potable water to all residents serviced with municipal water;
• Operate and maintain the facilities necessary to collect and treat wastewater from all residents serviced with municipal sewer services;
• Maintain roads, bridges, sidewalks, traffic and street lights, signage, storm sewer, and ditches;
• Operate solid waste and recycling facilities; and
• Maintain municipal fleet, buildings, and facilities.
