Fire Services Update

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is committed to protecting life, property and the environment from fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters and other emergencies. As such, the department issues a weekly report on all investigations, fire prevention activities and other Fire Services news of importance to the residents of the Lesser Slave River region.

  • 1 Vehicle Fire-HWY 44 & TWP 660
  • 1 Structure Fire -96 Lynnwood Trailer Park
  • 3 MVA- HWY 2 RR62, HWY 44 & TWP 684, HWY 2 & Ottawua Bridge

  • Attended First Aid Instructor Course
  • Attended LSRFS Advisory meeting in Flatbush
  • Gathered information for all ire Chiefs in our area to set up a regional meeting
  • Prepped for Roland Job Prep Students Day
  • Assisted with clean up of dangerous goods and gear area above the maintenance office

  • Widewater- Winter Pump Operations-Hall Clean up & Truck Checks
  • Flatbush- LSRFS Advisory Meeting

  • Attended First Aid Instructor course
  • Firesmart Interpretative Trail Meeting at VIC
  • Meet with Firesmart Coordinator about Community Engagement Planning
  • Assessed Bayer Road as a possible community clean up site
