The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River’s Agriculture Service Board acts as an advisory body to Council and the Minister of Agriculture on agricultural matters affecting residents, while promoting and supporting local agriculture and environmental stewardship.
The Agriculture Service Board works diligently to plan, develop and promote a variety of agricultural policies to meet the needs of the MD. It also helps the MD manage vital programs including weed & pest control, soil & water conservation, and livestock disease control.The Agriculture Service Board exists to promote, enhance and protect viable and sustainable agriculture with a view to improving the economic viability of the agricultural producer
