Fire Services Update

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is committed to protecting life, property and the environment from fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters and other emergencies. As such, the department issues a weekly report on all investigations, fire prevention activities and other Fire Services news of importance to the residents of the Lesser Slave River region.

  • Protective Services Meeting
  • Attended Points West & Hotel Northern Star to follow up on citizen complaints
  • Completed letter for all restaurants for inspections and started to distribute
  • Assist with Job Prep confined space training
  • Picked up FireSmart Awards
  • Went below volunteer staffing levels on two call-outs

  • Moved air bottles to water plant
  • Orientation on new compressor/fill station
  • Visited EGW School
  • Attended Protective Services Meeting
  • Advanced WUI course work
  • Assisted with Job Prep Confined Space Entry training for RMSS
  • FRIAA meeting Edmonton one member sent
  • Built new skid for small boat storage and transport
  • Driver Training for FF’s Rowe & Michaud
