Fire Services Update

The Lesser Slave River Regional Fire Service is committed to protecting life, property and the environment from fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters and other emergencies. As such, the department issues a weekly report on all investigations, fire prevention activities and other Fire Services news of importance to the residents of the Lesser Slave River region.

  • -1 Tractor/trailer fire
  • -1 Smoke investigation/ burnt fan belt Thompson Landing
  • -2 Alarms Duty Officer
  • -1 Medical call Smith
  • -1 Other Elevator Rescue Holiday Inn

  • Canadian tire for hall 2 building materials
  • Hall 2 SCBA compressor air intake install and installed the bottles
  • 104 replaced the exhaust resonator
  • repaired 193 mic
  • repaired 175 generator recoil
  • went to hall 2 to install more wood backing for the SCBA bottles
  • repairs to unit 122
  • inspect 193 for noise concerns
  • added and mounted a trauma kit in unit 161
  • got all the summer tires ready for change over
  • measured window sizing for unit 171
  • went for my air brake test
  • inspect the outside generator and cleaned.
  • modified pack mount to fit the req hand tools
  • installed and modified the backup camera mount in unit 122
  • secured all loose items in the cab of unit 122
  • cleaned and washed the foam tank out on unit 122

  • Visited Hall 2, 3 and 4
  • Continue to work on updating SOP’s and SOG’s
  • 1001 Weekend, Ropes, Searches, Fire Extinguishers
  • Ordered New Lock boxes for Re-sale at TOSL
  • Assisted with setup of SCBA station in Widewater
  • Inspections Completed Canyon Creek Winks, Canyon Creek Hotel, Northern Lakes College X 2 facilities,
  • 7-11, Boston Pizza, Circle K, Slave Lake Manor, Pizza Hut, Legion Manor
  • New Firefighter For hall 1 and gear issue
