Lesser Slave River's Agricultural Service Board (ASB) is an advisory body to the MD. It provides vital expertise and resources to help manage weed, pest, soil and water conservation programs, assist in the control of livestock diseases, promote and develop agricultural policies, undertake projects referred to them by Council and Administration, and assist with the preparation of the MD's Agricultural Services budget. The ASB is bound by the terms of the Agricultural Service Board Act.
Council appoints three farmer members and two Councillors to the Agricultural Service Board. ASB meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month, and all residents are welcome to attend. Take part in the process and help steward the growth and prosperity of regional agriculture.
